Miami, FL
February 2021
Traveling has always been a huge part of my life. I've worked and lived in five countries, have spent time in more than thirty and currently going down the list of US states to visit.
One of my favorite places by far here in the United States has been Miami, Florida.
Just the diversity, influences and food, I could talk for days about it.
But then there are also the miles of white sand beaches, the crystal clear turquoise ocean, the weather, the night life and the architecture of the Miami itself.
Miami seems different than any other place I have ever been to and it only took two or three days to fall in love with it.
I must point out that the whole latin culture really speaks to me. I enjoyed the music even though I don't understand most of it. The flavors of Latin American cuisines, wow, just love love love it. When you are in Miami, a must have is a Medianoche and Quattro Leche for dessert at pretty much any restaurant in South Beach.
Even though I only got to spend a few days here, I was able to see a good bit of the city, enjoyed every meal at a different restaurant, experienced some of the night life, went snorkeling in the Keys, had dinner at "Off The Hook" Bar & Grill in Key West.
I can't wait to go back! . . . . or maybe even move there?!
I mean, just to be honest, I would never run out of photography opportunities and nothing beats a beach wedding during golden hour.

Freeman Park
Carolina Beach, NC
October 2020
As an avid camper and adventure seeker,, Freeman Park / Carolina Beach, NC was almost on top of my list of places I had to camp at.
Most camp grounds close to the ocean require either a short walk or even a drive to get to the water. Not here! Yes, you read correctly: Not here!
You literally get to camp on the beach, just steps to the refreshing awesomeness of the Atlantic Ocean. And even better, if you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle you drive right on the beach straight to your campsite.
When you get to the gate, just air down to around 16psi and then just drive onto the beach. At first it feels kind of weird, especially if you've never driven on sand.
Fun I can tell you!
Get to your campsite, set up and go get some firewood.. Publix is usually the best bang for your buck.
Next stop: Island True Value Tackle and Hardware. They have about everything you could ask for when it comes to fishing, tackle, bait and camping.
Back on the beach, our lines are in the water and the fire is going. We cooked all of our meals right over the open fire. And for dinner we had, you guessed right, fish! Trout and flounder end of September.
Aside from camping on the beach, having fresh fish for dinner, living for a few days a very simple life, I have to tell you that sunrises at Carolina beach are just beautiful. Picturesque!
The beach itself is very clean and well maintained, People are friendly and welcoming. Dogs are welcome and are allowed during off season to be off the leash. Big plus when you bring a dog the size of a mini horse. Bowie, our Great Dane, definitely enjoyed going for walks in the dunes.
Probably the best times to go would be in Fall or Spring. Otherwise I only can imagine how hot it would be.
Until next time, Freeman Park! It truly was a pleasure.
